USE OF COOKIES AND PRIVACY

Heliview finds the protection of the privacy of customers, participants and partners of great importance for its activities. We would like to inform you about how we handle cookies and protect your privacy.

What are cookies and what do they do?

A cookie is a simple small file that is sent with pages from a website and saved by the browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari, etc.) on your computer’s hard drive. Information is stored in these files. During a subsequent visit to the website, this information is sent back to the server. Cookies do not damage your computer.

Types of cookies

Cookies can have various functions. Based on these functions, cookies can be divided into four categories, which are: functional cookies, analytical cookies, performance cookies and advertising cookies.

Cookies on Heliview websites

The Heliview website uses cookies to remember your preferences and settings. That makes using these conference websites more enjoyable for you as visitors.

This website also uses cookies for anonymous recording of the pages that you visit. With this data, among other things, the content and layout of the website can be optimized and better tailored to the wishes of the visitors. This profile is not linked to your personal information, such as your name and address or e-mail address. This cookie only measures, completely anonymously, which pages you view on our website.

A cookie from the American company Google is placed via our website as part of the “Analytics” service. We use this service to keep track of and get reports on how visitors use the website. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally required to do so, or insofar as third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. We have no influence on this.

The information that Google collects is made anonymous as much as possible. Your IP address is hereby included. The information is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

If you do not want to accept cookies, you always have the option to indicate this yourself in your browser (by setting ‘cookies off’ or ‘do not track’ in your browser). If you disable cookies, it is possible that certain functionalities do not work or that you cannot use certain services.

What does the cookie legislation mean for you?

Since 5 June 2012, the new telecom law has been in force with a number of sections on internet cookies. This cookie legislation leads to less browsing convenience for you as a consumer and for us the law cannot be implemented directly in accordance with the law. For this reason, we first focus on informing about this new law and meanwhile we are looking into how we can best implement this law on the Heliview conference websites.

More information about adjusting your privacy settings in the internet browser can generally be found via “help” in your browser.

Remove and refuse cookies

You can delete cookies that have already been placed and refuse to place new cookies via the browser settings on your computer. The way differs per browser; consult the help function of your browser if necessary.

Note: if you refuse and / or delete cookies, you cannot always use all the possibilities of a website. In addition, refusing or removing cookies only affects the computer and browser on which you perform this action. If you use multiple computers and / or browsers, you must repeat the above-mentioned action (s) as often as necessary.
